Jeremy Reid, B.Sc., P.Biol., is an Environmental Specialist at Nexen. He joined Nexen Inc. in October 2010 after graduating from the University of Calgary in 2006 and working as an environmental technician and ecological consultant at WorleyParsons Canada and Petro-Canada.
Jeremy will be presenting at the Alberta Society of Professional Biologists 2012 Conference “Exploring the Boreal Forest: Oil Sands in Alberta” and has presented to the Canadian Heavy Oil Association on a collaborative large-scale footprint restoration program and landscape planning initiatives in Alberta, Canada.
Jeremy currently acts as the Project Manager for the Oil Sands Leadership Initiative’s Land Stewardship Working Group conducting collaborative projects to reduce the landscape footprint and biodiversity impacts of Oil Sands development. He also sits on the Land Working Group of the Cumulative Environmental Management Association. As an Oil Sands industry representative he routinely works in a collaborative fashion with academics, aboriginals, stakeholders, non-government organizations, the Government of Alberta, and the forestry industry.
