Erin leads C3’s environmental evaluation, monitoring and reporting activities, which involves designing and implementing methodology for documenting C3’s program energy and GHG reductions. Currently, she is focused on developing a portfolio of policy options to improve the energy efficiency of Alberta’s building stock that incorporates environmental and economic perspectives. Related to this, Erin designed a framework for developing clear energy efficiency ‘program-logic’ that links market actors to barriers to initiatives to best overcome project those barriers, helping to ensure initiatives are coordinated across all market segments and represent ‘value for money’ for the investor (public or private).
Erin has extensive experience in community planning, land use and environmental policy analysis, with a focus on energy systems. She has worked with communities across Canada to implement policy change and initiatives related to energy efficiency, renewable energy, and transportation systems. In Alberta, Erin has completed in depth analysis of the municipal and provincial regulatory systems as they relate to energy use – thus developing a strong context from which to analyse and develop innovative public policy.
